ANM School Lawngtlai holds Capping & Lamp Lighting Ceremony for 5th batch students

 ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) School, Lawngtlai conducted a Capping and Lamp Lighting Ceremony for 5th batch students at LADC Conference Hall today.

The Ceremony was graced by Pu V. Zirsanga, Chief Executive Member, Lai Autonomous District Council and Dr LP Malsawma, Chief Medical Officer, Lawngtlai District as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Nursing Superintendent of District Hospital Lawngtlai Pi Lalengmuani capped 20 first year students of 5th batch, and the newly capped students lighted their lamp and took an oath of nurse.

An opening song was performed by ANM Female Voice after which Pi Lalriveli, Staff Nurse, Christian Hospital Lawngtlai gave an invocation. School Principal Pi C. Rothangpuii gave a brief report of the school. Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Executive Secretary of LADC Pu H. Lalramenga and AGS of CYLA Pu Joseph Lalhmingthanga Chinzah delivered their speech and School Tutor Pi PC Lalhmangaihi proposed a vote of thanks. Proficiency Awards were given away to three toppers of 1st year and four toppers of 2nd year in the MNC Examination, 2021. LIKBK AOC Pastorate’s pastor Rev. Dr V. Lalhmingsanga dedicated the students in prayer and ended the ceremony with a benediction.

The ceremony was attended by Executive Members of LADC – Pu Lalropuia Chinzah and Pu L. Daniala, health department officials, government officials, members of District MJA, representatives of NGOs, staff and students of ANM School Lawngtlai, parents and other invitees.

ANM School Lawngtlai was started in October 2017 with 20 students and three batches have passed out. Currently, there are one principal, four tutors, eight non-teaching staff and 40 students. ANM is a two-year course and can be applied after passing XIIth. The session is October to September.
